Dana Powell Isaacs, RN has worked in the health care field for the last 30 years. Starting her career as one of the first in New Jersey to become a Certified Pharmacy Technician, she recognized that caring for others was her calling. While in nursing school, Dana was part of the first group of Nursing Student honorees to be granted into the Nurse Intern Program at Munroe Regional. After graduating, she was one of the first Graduate Nurses to be hired as a Registered Nurse on the critical care unit.
It was while working with the critically ill that she realized that her knowledge would be more beneficial to the community by working to prevent hospitalizations. Dana believes that starting in the home, with simple modifications and continuity of care, more seniors and convalescent adults can reduce trips to the ER and avoid hospital admissions. Dana has worked in the Home Health and Home Care industry since 2010 and is well versed in all areas of in-home care.
Dana recognizes that taking the time to listen to what someone is experiencing can make a significant difference in their lives. She oversees the day to day operations, manages the direct care provided to each client, and is always available to help, 365 days a year.
“I have found that by providing the tools and oversight to both those entrusted in our care as well as to those providing the care, collaboratively we will make a difference. My motto is, ‘Be Proactive and you will find yourself being less Reactive’, and I have seen this concept make a significant impact on many lives over the years.”
Dana is currently advancing her nursing degree. She is enrolled in the Undergraduate Nursing Program at University of West Florida. She is working towards her earning a Master of Science in Nursing and holds several certifications in nursing, including Wound Care and Gerontology. She is also working on becoming a Reiki Master.
In her free time, (yes, she insists she does have free time), Dana enjoys spending time with her husband and their beautifully blended family. Together they have 5 children, 3 dogs, 1 cat, and 3 birds. She can be found locally around Ocala supporting local businesses and attending her spiritual center.
“An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure.” ~ Benjamin Franklin
Bonnie Tieche moved to Ocala in 1975, where she attended early elementary school at Oak Griner Baptist Church. Bonnie attended Marion County Public schools and is a proud graduate of Vanguard High. “Today, all three of my children are also Vanguard High Graduates. Go Knights!”.
Bonnie says, “I was a late bloomer and was unsure of what I wanted to do growing up”. In October of 2000, she was with her husband in the NICU at UF Shands Hospital with their baby. “An angel in the form of our Case Manager sat beside us. She offered her expertise, a helping hand, and most importantly a smile”. Bonnie realized then that everything was much more manageable, “That’s when it hit me. This is what I want to do, I want to help others too. Somehow.”
In 2014, Bonnie graduated from Rasmussen College with her AA in Human Service. She began her career, doing what she always wanted to do, helping women and their families at the Ocala Domestic Violence & Sexual Assault Center. “Life with a child with medical needs has a way of making life’s path more of an adventure. While I had poured my everything into juggling my family’s needs and schedules, it was helping those in need that not only helped me grow professionally, but emotionally and spiritually as well.”
Bonnie’s career path has allowed her to help people of all ages, different stages of life. Today she is our Recruitment and Retention Specialist. Matching the right people to provide the quality care we offer is just a part of the role. Bonnie also mentors and encourages our team to become the best version of themselves. With this full circle in life experience, we know we have an angel on our team too!
“What I'm most excited about in this new home care adventure is being able to focus on helping the aging and medically needy to remain independent and in their home. By being able to match compassionate Home Care Providers and Nurses to those in need, I continue to help this community in which I grew up in.”
Victoria Bynes has worked in the healthcare field for over 18 years and has always had a passion for helping people. In 2002, Victoria pursued her career at Webster College and worked as a Medical Assistance in a fast-paced doctor office for several years. While she enjoyed the help she was providing to the office patients, she realized that there was something “more” she was called to do.
While at Church, a member asked if she was interested in helping them with one-on-one care with their uncle. Victoria quickly realized that was her true purpose and fell in love with caring for him. “I was smiling every day, knowing I was getting to do something so meaningful and rewarding”. She has since worked as a professional home care provider until joining our agency as our Home Care Specialist. Victoria talks and meets with families and friends looking for in-home solutions. Together with our Registered Nurses, she helps clients receive the care specific to their needs.
“I can hear my father’s voice each and every day- and especially when I talk with a family that is in need or if I am directly caring for a client. He told me, the greatest gift you can give is love, and I am honored to share my love and compassion with each and every one I get to help”.
Victoria is happily married to “a wonderful man”. In her free time, she enjoys being with her family, attending her Church, and Sunday dinners. “There is nothing better than quality time at home, spending it with those you love”.
